They start with the gum-popping, they cross and uncross their legs, they talk to heir fat friend a bout 'how pretty his hair is' loud enough for me to hear, but I pretend not to. I'm focused on my book or watching a video/listening to music. Certain types of women assume I'm going to be instantly into them (hey, I'm black, we're expected to 'holla' at anything), but there is nothing more goddamned annoying than being stared at by some babymama wo eventually gets an attitude when she realizes you're not going to pay her any attention. And that--attention--is bread and butter for 8 out of 10 of them (the girls I'm attracted to are reading their books and ignoring everyone just as I am).
